We now offer mediation services for those who may be involved in Disputes concerning a Will, Trust or Estate.
Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method involving an independent, professional third party to help resolve disputes. It is designed to be less costly and time-consuming than court proceedings. It is also private, confidential and a voluntary process.
Mediation can be conducted face-to-face, by phone, or virtually and if successful, a legally binding Settlement Agreement can be put in place.
We offer mediation for those who are involved in a matter concerning a disputed Will, Trust or Estate, including Inheritance Act Claims, Proprietary Estoppel claims, Disputes over lifetime gifts, Financial abuse, and Legacy Disputes.
The process involves us speaking to the parties about the dispute and if you both agree, we will arrange a mediation appointment convenient for you both involving you signing a Mediation and Confidentiality agreement. We will ask to see documents which relate to the dispute and then try to resolve the dispute. If successful, a form of agreement will be prepared which both parties will sign, agreeing to implement the terms of the agreement.

Our Mediators are Rajinder Rai and Zeen Al-Atroshi, both of whom are qualified solicitors, and who themselves practice in the Disputed Wills, Trusts and Estates sector. Both are affiliates of the Society of Trusts and Equity Practitioners and are also members of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists. Their charges for a full day mediation amount to £1,550.00 plus vat per party, and for a half day mediation £950.00 plus vat per party.
