Michelle Breindel has over 20 years’ experience specialising in Criminal Law; becoming a Duty Solicitor in 2001. She has become an established Advocate in many of the Courts around Essex. She acts for Clients in both the Youth and Magistrates Court, the Crown Court and Police Station.
She undertakes both Private and Legally Aided work. She has an extensive knowledge of the Law.
She is known for dealing with complex and novel issues when defending Clients in a variety of offences ranging from assault, murder and rape to sexual offences and robberies. She has vast experience in representing Clients in large complex murders.
In relation to motoring, Michelle has extensive experience in this niche area of law. She regularly defends a wide variety of cases from dangerous driving, drug and drink driving to dealing with speeding and ‘Totting’ procedures. Michelle is very successful in running Exceptional Hardship Arguments to assist drivers with keeping their licence once they become ‘Totters’ and has an impressive reputation for dealing with these types of cases.
She has dealt with a huge variety of cases including traffic matters, serious violence, murder, all manner of sexual offences, public order and dishonesty. She was recently involved in the successful outcome in a million pound Trading Standards fraud case. She has also undertaken a number of Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) cases.
Emma qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and is a duty solicitor and accredited police station representative. Emma joined Paul Robinson Solicitors LLP in November 2011 and specialises in all aspects of criminal defence work. Whilst Emma conducts a significant amount of work in the Magistrates and Youth courts, she has substantial experience of the gravest Crown Court matters including murder, other serious violence, sexual offences, firearms offences and fraud. In particular, Emma has developed a niche area of expertise in respect of serious sexual offences and her cases are often reported in the media.

Seth was admitted as a Solicitor in 2008 and obtained Duty Solicitor status in 2009. He has over a decade of experience as a criminal defence Solicitor. Seth joined Paul Robinson from another local criminal defence firm where he had worked since 2006.
Seth deals with all aspects of criminal defence work, from the police station to the Court of Appeal. He represents clients on issues ranging from road traffic and shoplifting, to murder, serious sexual offences and large-scale criminal conspiracies. Seth regularly attends at the police station and at the Magistrates Court, providing advocacy in both the youth and adult court.
Seth has a particular interest in road traffic matters including ‘totting up’ and exceptional hardship arguments, excess alcohol/drugs offences, special reasons arguments and careless or dangerous driving. He provides robust advice and effective advocacy.

Serena Berry joined our team in August 2017, having previously worked for a specialist criminal defence firm based in London since she qualified as a solicitor in 2009.
Serena is a passionate and effective advocate who is adept in representing clients appearing in the Magistrates Court and the Youth Court for a full range of offences. She has extensive experience of dealing with more serious offences before the Crown Court, including matters such as fraud, drug offences, serious assaults and sex offences, as well as dealing with ancillary matters of confiscation and Appeal. Additionally, she is a qualified accredited police station representative and has developed a keen interest in motoring law.

Madeleine joined Paul Robinson Solicitors in 2017 as a Paralegal in our Crime department. She assisted fee earners on a wide range of matters from theft to murder. Madeleine successfully completed her Police Station Accreditation in 2018 and regularly represents clients at the police station on a range of matters.

Danielle joined the firm in 2020 as a Paralegal in our Crime and Motoring Department. Prior to joining the team, Danielle gained experience and worked as a criminal paralegal, at a criminal defence firm based in Essex. Danielle is a qualified police station representative and has experience representing clients across a broad spectrum of offences, including assaults, thefts, fraud and serious sexual offences. Danielle after receiving two scholarships from Gray’s Inn and City University, commenced her Bar Professional Training Course in 2019. She is currently in the final stages and will soon complete her qualification and will qualify as a Barrister.
