Firstly, what is a Barrister?
A Barrister is a specialist legal advisor and court room advocate. They are trained to represent clients in all manner of proceedings. They are specifically trained to act as your voice, in Court, including in the Crown Court and or at trial.
Angelina works in the crime team as a defence Barrister representing clients at the police station, Magistrates and Crown court. In addition, she has acted in the Court of Appeal; successfully representing a client on appeal against sentence. From her previous line of work, she brings a wealth of experience in general crime and road traffic matters; including representation in special reasons and exceptional hardship applications.
Most importantly, she is an accomplished trial advocate having represented clients at trial in both the Magistrates and Crown court. She has dealt with all manner of offences from robberies, burglaries, violence and disorder, domestic violence, drugs and sexual offences.
Angelina has a particular interest in youth court cases. She has success in representing youths at trial for serious offences including ABH, intentional strangulation and multi-handed robbery charges. Angelina recognises that dealing with young people requires an elevated level of compassion and understanding.
